Today ive gone all Willie Nelson. Busy tattooing in bell bottoms and a tye dye shirt, with some hippy braids in my hair. Being no stranger to myself torturing myself, and knowing that its been a fair while since ive done so.. ive now decided to take on the 94.7 cycle race for the second time. The first time was a looot more difficult than anticipated.. and i made it with only half an hour to spare... even though it was done on a fairly decent bicycle. Naturally.. i had to raise the stakes for this one .. which i clearly took too literally. Thanks to Neil from 'Riding high' cycles in Cpt for putting this "Thing" together for me to torture myself on. And i do mean torture. This is basically 2 heavy steel frame bicycles welded together, so the weight is well against me. Add in the fact that it is a fixed speed... so no gears available to lug this thing's heft up the inclines.. and its a recipe for a lot of pain and anguish. 100 kms of gruelling hell! So happy birthday to me. The 94.7 just so happens to fall slap bang on my birthday, so im getting 2 broken legs as a gift.. and if i pedal too hard uphill.. i may also get a broken head. But its all for a good cause of course. The Pat Gurr trust for children has been running for a few years now, and we have managed to donate a loooot of stuff in that time thanks to many many very cool donors. Remember that all bicycles, childrens clothing, toys etc that you have lying around gathering dust, can be dropped off at any Skintrade tattoos store.. and we will make sure it gets to a person that will benefit from it. Getting ready for the snow the other morning! Im like a red polar bear. Raaawr!

Been watching the snow bearing clouds rolling in from the ocean all afternoon while the temp steadily plummeted. Had to bust out some lekker durban style mince curry with turmeric potatoes to warm the old cockle! Havent managed to find any proper mince in so long... but today i saw a few packs at PnP.. and had to take em home with me! Please butchers... stop taking all of the flavour out of mince! The lean or extra lean only options are no good! Im not on a diet. As for the snow... bring it on! The 4x4 is already packed! #capetown #winter #snow #durbancurry #foodporn
